Amazon WordPress Stores are Dead!
Posted on 28. Feb, 2010 by Aaron in Scripts
How great would it be if people could hit your Amazon affiliate site and not have any idea or clue that they’re on an affiliate site? Not even Google. No affiliate links to be seen (unless you really do want to display them). To all intents and purposes the visitor thinks they’re on a legitimate ecommerce site.

(Reasons why I’m no longer 100% fully endorsing this product
headed in red at the bottom of this page)
The sales page for this script isn’t the best I’ve seen, well to be honest it’s non-existent but if you get Affiliate Niche Script you’ll be miles ahead of 1000’s of Amazon Affiliates and you’ll be laughing all the way to the bank.
I really do feel sorry for any Amazon affiliates who haven’t seen this yet. In their defence the script was only officially released a month ago.
Firstly I want to say I did hours of research for a product like this and only came across one other product that is inferior by far. Now I’ve bought Affiliate Niche Script and used it I’ve uncovered a mass of benefits. So what are they?
- The whole script is designed to work as an ecommerce store populated with Amazon products, complete with the usual suggested items and other regular ecommerce features you get with other cart scripts. There’s no clue you’re on an Amazon site until you go to pay, not an affiliate id or mention of Amazon to be seen anywhere.
- If you don’t like this method it’s a 2 second operation to use the old style affiliate links and no cart system, so great for testing.
- You can remove any mention of Amazon in the site, this goes for customer reviews, replacing ‘Amazon’ with your own site name is another 2 second operation.
- One inherent problem with these types of scripts is that they’re a pain to customize, not with Affiliate Niche Script, all the workings of the store are encoded but they’ve done an amazing job of separating the layout code from the store workings code. I’d go as far as to say if you know how to style a WordPress blog you’ll have no problems customizing this.
- If you just want to do a simple change on the graphic elements of the site there’s only a handful of graphics you need to change to make your store look completely different.
- The SEO side is great, you have choices for url structures and file extensions so you can change it so all the pages end with .php or .htm if you like to imitate a static site. Also you have full control over all the usual meta tags.
- There’s some additional features for visitors where they can set up accounts and track prices, bookmark a product or write a review.
- The templates are so easy to change I’ve been able to integrate a blog into my site on the main header menu.
- There’s a really clean and easy to use admin side to the store where you can select entire regions of Amazon to pull products from or use the individual product ID’s to populate the store.
- The admin area also has tracking features and an analytics integration option so you can really monitor what’s happening on your store.
- The setup has a similar install to WordPress where it checks everything for you and takes about the same amount of time.
- Nearly forgot to mention, you’ve also got iPhone support too so you can view your site on an iPhone or iPod Touch, already tested it and it looks very smart.
I’ve been working on a new niche store this weekend and it’s been a breeze to set up, including integrating a blog into the store. I’ve also been watching the support forums at Affiliate Niche Script and it looks like everyone is getting looked after pretty well with the owner making a real genuine effort to help everybody.
All I can think about now is how many Amazon sites can I get online before everyone else gets wind of this script.
Affiliate Niche Script Update 15-11-10
Oh well, time to eat humble pie I think, before you go ahead with this script there’s a few things you should know. Especially with me thinking this was the best thing since sliced bread and the death of all Amazon WordPress stores. I was blown away by this script first time around but a few things have changed my mind recently. Don’t get me wrong it’s still a great product but it might not be for everyone.
1) The main sticking point at the moment is that since the script changed ownership recently, support has mostly been provided by other forum users, the script owners are about but only just, meaning if you have any problems you’ll need to try to figure them out yourself or hope another forum member helps you.
2) After building quite a few Amazon stores via, basic static HTML sites, WordPress, Joomla and Affiliate Niche Script, I’ve found that having a shopping cart enabled site seems to work for some products and not for others, in other words for me it’s not been the clear cut winner I thought it’d be, it’s good to have it there to throw into the testing mix but usually I’ll end up switching the cart off which partially renders Affiliate Niche Script redundant.
3) I don’t know if they’ve fixed it yet (15-11-10), but I did find a mod_security issue specific to Hostgator regarding having the shopping cart turned off and I think this was causing problems with how the script links to Amazon, it’s easy to fix, just ask Hostgator to turn off mod_security for that domain, but it’s a pain in the butt all the same.
For me I’m happy to muddle through as I can usually crank out large fully populated Affiliate Niche Script sites pretty quickly, but I’m sorry if you’re the owner of this script reading this, there’s a few people who visit this site who I see and talk to on a regular basis and I don’t want to have to explain to them why I didn’t give them the full picture.
In fact if you’re looking to buy an Amazon Niche style course, script, or whatever then read my full module by module review of Chris Gutheries Niche Profit Course …

Just a quick note about Affiliate Niche Script. I have run into a new problem with the script in that if you’re creating quite a tightly themed niche store you’re going to be using the same node ID’s which causes problems with the main product database.
To the credit of the guy who’s running the script he noticed a few others were having the same problem as me and will be releasing an update soon which will have a fix. I’m using v1.1 at the moment, so anything above this will be fine.
Just wanted to update everyone.

This one, unfortunately, is a miss. The obfuscated code does not allow even the intermediate coder to pimp his website. Not only that, who knows what the script author is trying to hide! Because of that, the author of the script should be paying each end user who uses the script.

Don’t think you can blame the guy for encrypting his code, I’d do the same. Especially with a script in a highly competitive area of affiliate marketing.
I’ve actually used the script quite a few times now and you can see he’s only protected the workings of the script not the layout. He’s done a great job of separating everything from the layout, this was one of the main things I looked for with a script like this so I could ‘pimp up’ my website.

Just an extra note:
All the issues from the first comment have been addressed (my fault for not posting this, should have gone up 3 weeks ago)
The free version is being discontinued on release of Affiliate Niche Script v2.0 so I’d get it while you can. This will be replaced with a 30 day trial version.
v2.0 is also going to have the ability to use eBay products, not too sure how this is going to look but sounds good
