Swamped With Unwanted Email Offers?

Posted on 26. Jul, 2010 by Aaron in Productivity

Here’s a quick little productivity tip for all of you who get swamped with not so much spam emails but emails from lists you no longer want to be a part of. You know the ones, a new offer every 2 days or my mate who I think is a genius has a great $2000 course, yeah give me a break.

This is just a quick tip and something I do in Outlook but I’m sure you’ll be able to do something similar in Thunderbird or any other program you use.

When these unwanted emails come in, instead of sporadically unsubscribing from emails over the course of a month, delete the emails. Then after a month go into your deleted mail folder and right click ‘arranged by’ or any similar column header so basically all the emails get sorted by who they were sent from.

Then just go through and unsubscribe as per normal, then instead of the job dragging over a month or so you can do them all in one shot when you get a spare 10 minutes.
